Setup recipes
Install the pieces a preset needs through a guided sequence.
A setup recipe prepares a backend, enables required plugins, finds existing model files, downloads missing components, and installs and assigns a preset. It then validates the pipeline; many recipes also run a first generation. Recipes are available during initial guided setup and later in Administration → Recipes.
Run a setup recipe
- Inspect the recipe
Review its description, backend, steps, required models, and download size. Native starters use the HuggingFace Provider. Gated repositories need accepted access terms and a token configured in that plugin.
- Start and review downloads
The recipe indexes models you already have before planning downloads. When it pauses for consent, review the listed files and total size, then choose Approve and download.
- Follow each step
Progress shows what completed and what needs attention. If a step fails, resolve the reported problem and use the retry action. Administration → Recipes also keeps run history.
- Open the installed preset
After setup completes, choose its supported mode in Generate. Check the catalog below for starters that validate the pipeline without producing a sample.
Image starters
Each image starter below installs its preset and runs a first text-to-image generation.

Video starters
Each video starter below runs a first clip after installing its model components.

Detect ComfyUI
The ComfyUI Backend plugin supplies one additional recipe. Detect ComfyUI probes an existing server, registers its backend, indexes available models, installs and assigns the bundled SDXL Illustrious preset, and validates the pipeline. It downloads no models and runs no sample generation. Start ComfyUI first; the default address is http://127.0.0.1:8188, configurable through the plugin settings.
Each recipe covers a specific setup. Presets without a starter recipe can still be installed through Administration → Presets, with their requirements supplied separately. For repeated tasks after setup, use Automations.
